Russell C. Davis Planetarium
Davis PlanetariumExperience the universe in one of the South's largest and best equipped planetariums.  The giant hemispheric theater named after Dr. Ronald E. McNair, includes one of mankind's most spectacular replicas of the starry heavens and Mississippi's only large-format movie projector; MEGA HD Cinema.


The Planetarium is closed on New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and other City of Jackson holidays.

Not required for regularly scheduled sky shows. Required for school programming and recommended for all groups. The Planetarium is open six days a week (except major holidays). Times and programming vary.
