A native of Jackson, MS., Councilman Tony T. Yarber was reared in the Westside Community, Subdivision #2. A product of Jackson Public Schools, Yarber received a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi and a M.S. in Education Administration and Supervision from Jackson State University.
He has served as a committee member for Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and Board of director for Relevant Ministries, Inc.
Yarber brings to the Jackson City Council a wealth of leadership experience from the education and faith based arenas. His passion for youth related and community services has left, and will continue to leave a great impact on the community for which he serves. Councilman Tony Yarber has a desire and passion to see not only the citizens of Ward 6, but the citizens of Jackson grow in a productive way to where they can be proud to say they are true Jacksonians.
He and his wife, Rosalind Yarber, have two girls and one boy.
