Traffic Maintenance
The Traffic Maintenance division installs all signs, signals, and pavement markings. It is composed of four sections.
Sign Shop
The sign shop is responsible for making all signs for the City of Jackson including signs for streets, parks, and City offices.
Sign Installation
The sign installation crews install signs and posts.
Signal Shop
The signal shop installs, repairs, and maintains traffic signals and associated items, including the wires and poles that they are attached. They also install and maintain signal loop detectors and City-owned fiber optic lines.
Pavement Markings
The pavement marking crew install and maintain striping and other pavement markings on City streets.
