The Smith-Wills Stadium has been home to professional baseball for over twenty-five (25)  years. In 2002, The Central League Jackson Senators made Jackson their home. Since their arrival, the Senators have not only provided great baseball, but have gained legions of supportive fans from the Jackson Metro Area and beyond by offering numerous activities for individuals throughout the community.

 

Sporting fans, as well as fans of other recreational activities, had the opportunity to experience  highly anticipated events such as the Camaro Car Show for the Mayor’s Trophy Game between the University of Mississippi and Mississippi State University. The stadium also played host to musical acts originating from the entire music spectrum such as southern rock & roll legends Lynrd Skynrd and hip-hop star Mystikal. Furthermore, the stadium also served as the site for various community events such as: high school and college baseball, baseball clinics, and other outdoor events.
